ubloquity is delighted to announce two senior appointments to its Board. Baroness Arlene Foster DBE PC of Aghadrumsee has joined the company as Chair of the Board, and Dr Leslie Orr has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director.

Together, the appointments complete a deliberate step for the Belfast-based company: building a board with the trade, governance and sector authority to match its ambition as it scales its ubiNex platform into aerospace and defence, pharmaceuticals and global freight.

Baroness Arlene Foster joins as Chair

Few people understand the intersection of trade, borders, government and business the way Baroness Foster does.

She was the first woman to serve as First Minister of Northern Ireland. She spent seven years as Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, championing investment and opening global markets for local industry, and later served as Finance Minister. She is a member of the House of Lords and is today Chair of Intertrade UK, leading the drive for seamless trade across the United Kingdom.

Her career has been defined by one thing: making trade work, across borders, across institutions and across communities.

Dr Leslie Orr joins as Non-Executive Director

For fifteen years, Dr Orr was the driving force behind Northern Ireland's aerospace, defence, security and space community. He established ADS Northern Ireland in 2010 and led it until this year, growing membership from seven companies to more than 150 and helping deliver the Partnering for Growth strategy that doubled the sector to £2.2 billion in annual turnover, exceeding its target.

An engineer by background, he knows the industry from the factory floor to the boardroom, and he knows the people. Across primes, SMEs, government and academia, Dr Orr was the connective tissue of an ecosystem that became one of the UK's great industrial success stories.

That experience matters enormously to ubloquity. Aerospace and defence is where the company is scaling fastest, with secure supply chains, traceability and digital MRO built on the same platform that delivered the frictionless border. Dr Orr's counsel, credibility and network will help turn that momentum into programmes.
